Snowday in Kensington

Both of us were planning to work at The Bullis School in Potomac. I planned to sub for Ms. Heda O'Neil, who needed time to see her doctor. She had planned a wonderful set of lab activities for her high school students. One involved cutting apart pairs of genetic material, from blue and pink sheets of paper, and practicing sexual reproduction by matching pink and blue genes. I was looking forward to telling students, "Today in class we are going to make babies and practice sexual reproduction." Do you think I would get some student interest with THAT line?
The snowstorm has closed schools, including Bullis. The enforced leisure is welcome and relaxing.
